| Ask your physician or call The Angina Center of Evansville to determine if you are a candidate for EECP. Typically, patients benefiting from EECP treatment:
- Have chronic stable angina
- Are not receiving adequate relief from angina by taking medication
- Do not qualify for invasive procedures
- Have exhausted invasive treatments without lasting relief of angina symptoms
- Are unwilling to undergo coronary artery bypass graft ("open heart") surgery or angioplasty
- Want to explore alternatives to bypass surgery or angioplasty
The length of EECP treatment (35 one-hour sessions over a seven-week period) may be a consideration for some patient candidates. Some patients may also require more than one course of therapy to achieve an optimal level of relief.
